2018 once again saw JPA Health sponsoring the Communiqué Awards. Since 1997, the awards have celebrated outstanding work in healthcare communications, showcasing the very best that our industry has to offer across local, European and international markets, and this is the second year JPA has been a sponsor.

The Communiqué awards set the pace in identifying and recognising innovation, creativity and strategic depth, along with executional excellence and effectiveness, and each year senior industry leaders review and challenge award categories and criteria. For 2018, this led to the introduction of two new award categories: ‘Excellence in Integrated Non-Promotional Communications’ and ‘Excellence in Communication Through Creative Execution’.

JPA sponsored the ‘Excellence in Writing’ category, with our Managing Director, Diane Wass having the honour of presenting the award to the winners (Congratulations, H4B Manchester!) in front of a roomful of hundreds of our peers. Quite a daunting task! Winning a Communiqué award is a tremendous accolade because it gives recognition to programmes or initiatives, individuals and teams who have made a real difference – to patients, to stakeholders, to influencers, and to the reputation of our industry itself.

The Communiqué awards 2018 took place at the Grosvenor Hotel in London on 28^th June. Once dinner and the award ceremony had finished there was a fantastic opportunity to network and build relationships with peers from across the industry; PR, patient advocacy, pharma, professional services and regulators, to name a few. JPA also sponsored a photobooth for the awards, as well as many other materials, to aid the enjoyment of the evening. We had a great time!

On behalf of the whole of JPA, we would like to say a huge congratulations to all of the winners. The projects and initiatives exemplify the impact our work has on the healthcare industry. The evening was a wonderful success, as it has been in previous years, and we look forward to 2019.
