JPA is currently searching for an Account Director to join JPA Health’s Life Science Team. The successful candidate will incorporate healthcare knowledge with creative agency experience, be a self-starter, support proposal development for clients and new business, and serve as day-to-day lead on one or more clients accounts.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct day-to-day account work, which may include project brief and statement of work development, project planning, reviewing client manuscripts and layout, financial management and overall account best practices
- Act as a liaison between client, outside vendors and, as appropriate, other internal and external audiences (i.e., creative, digital, media, advocacy, medical, editorial, project management)
- Direct and manage the execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including disease awareness, product launch, patient and HCP campaigns, conference management, websites, media asset development and video production
- Support new business efforts in partnership with other team members, may include proposal writing and budget oversight with PM team, slide development and attending new business pitches
- Proficient in leading client meetings, and providing high-level input on overall account strategy
- Demonstrate sound financial management, ensuring profitability of projects, and ensuring team billing, staff utilization and revenue targets are met
- Identify opportunities to grow business within key accounts
- Build relationships with client counterparts through an immersive understanding of their brand, industry, competition, and marketing challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 – 7 years of agency account management experience in healthcare marketing, or 9+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Digital and multi-channel experience
- Direct-to-consumer (DTC) & HCP campaign experience
- Medical device and Ophthalmology experience a plus
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Veeva Vault
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work both independently and as a team
- Understanding of the changing healthcare environment
- Detail-orientated, proven critical thinking, and a passion for healthcare
