Currently, JPA is seeking a Senior Vice President, Patient Advocacy, who can guide our incredible clients and team to break new ground in tapping the power of patient advocates. This is an exciting time in healthcare, and we need problem solvers who are energized – not intimidated – by what’s new and different.


  • Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive strategies to collaborate with patient advocacy communities on behalf of industry clients – ideally patient advocacy campaigns that win accolades (and awards!)
  • Develop and maintain trusted partnerships with multiple stakeholders, including clients, patient advocacy groups, and the internal JPA agency team
  • Identify shared goals and areas of collaboration focused on patients’ needs that deliver mutual benefit for patients and industry; package these into compelling and dynamic strategic recommendations that excite our JPA team and delight our clients
  • Represent JPA Health in external meetings and other events to ensure that the agency’s leadership position is evident
  • Collaborate across agency teams of public health, public affairs, marketing, PR, creative, digital and others to proactively address client needs as appropriate
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate, industry, and regulatory guidelines
  • Manage account teams in the execution of all programs and assume accountability for meeting all program deliverables
  • Establish and drive new business pipeline by identifying and leveraging new agency revenue opportunities for organic growth, as well as playing key roles on incoming new biz leads and RFPs
  • Supervise staff including professional development and mentoring


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • In-house or agency patient advocacy experience (10+ years)
  • Understanding of the FDA approval process for new drug applications
  • Team and budget management experience
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, flexibility and professional manner
  • Ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and work both independently and as a team
  • Understanding of the changing healthcare environment
  • Be detail oriented, tech savvy, demonstrate critical thinking, and possess a passion for health
