Stakeholder Engagement Overview: Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is the most common vaginal infection in women ages 15-44; however, it is often misdiagnosed and mistreated by health care providers. Our client, working to bring a single dose treatment option to market wants to educate providers about this serious women’s health issue.

Approach: JPA convened a meeting with the country’s most prestigious KOLs in BV to discuss the condition, misdiagnosis and need for new treatment options. From the discussion, the team crafted the “State of Bacterial Vaginosis: Experts Explore Unmet Needs Facing Women and Providers”, a white paper with nine signed authors from leading U.S. academic medical centers. The paper is scheduled for publication in The International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics.

Results: The campaign, which includes traditional and social media tactics, is currently underway.
